DynaMesh®-Textile Implants in South America – Registration for the Brazilian Market 2009.01.16 13:53:24

Our innovative DynaMesh® textile implants have been officially registered by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA).

ANVISA is linked to the Ministry of Health. Amongst others, the agency is responsible for the coordination of national issues with regard to the public health system. Sales and distribution will be organized by our partner and distributor in Brazil, BMR MEDICAL.

BMR MEDICAL is a partner who shares and realizes our business objectives: to support the health of the population, optimal medical treatment and medical care and thus an improvement of our patients`quality of life.

DynaMesh®-IPST – our innovative, three-dimensional mesh implant saves costs and offers maximum patient comfort 2008.11.13 15:06:57

The current study “Potential for savings with regard to innovative medical technology in healthcare 2008” (October 2008), published by SPECTARIS* et al. represents our innovative, three-dimensional mesh implant DynaMesh®-IPST as an outstanding medical product. The development of DynaMesh®-IPST has been governmental-funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and furthermore has been awarded the “Innovation Award of Aachen” in 2003.

Within this study, DynaMesh®-IPST – our mesh implant for stoma surgery – is introduced as a medical product with direct cost savings. This is due to a reduced frequency of the reparation of parastomal hernias. According to international scientific studies, the average reparation rate of stoma patients of about 30-60 percent can be reduced to 0 percent by the prophylactic usage of our new, three-dimensional mesh. In a cost-benefit analysis (traditional stoma surgery versus DynaMesh®-IPST), the method using DynaMesh®-IPST results in total savings of about 5,7 Million Euros per year.

Frequently occurring problems of the conventional reparation of parastomal hernias with flat meshes - such as fibrosis, adhesion or shrinkage of the implant can be avoided to a large extend by the optimal characteristics of DynaMesh®-IPST (i.e. open-pore construction, elastic monofilaments, three-dimensional preshaped and seamless mesh). This implies positive effects for the individual patient, such as fast convalescence or marginal pain after the surgery and thus a high patient comfort.

DynaMesh®-PP – Admission for the U.S. Market 2008.10.02 13:13:06

With regard to the globalization of health markets, FEG Textiltechnik was able to assure a great success by the admission of DynaMesh®-PP for the U.S. market. Currently, we achieved the admission of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for our innovative product DynaMesh®-PP (mesh implants for hernia surgery).

Amongst others, the FDA controls the security and effectiveness of pharmaceuticals and medical products in order to protect public health. All medical products and pharmaceuticals which are licensed for the U.S. market have to be produced by manufacturers examined by the FDA. Their machines and equipment have to meet the strict regulatory requirements.

DynaMesh®-PP is the first product category of our company FEG Textiltechnik, that has achieved the admission for the U.S. market. With regard to the development of medical products, this a sign for our high requirements and standards – and at the same time impulse and motivation to enter the U.S. market with our manifold medical implants.

MeiWei Holdings and FEG Textiltechnik mbH have decided to make this step also in order to meet the country-specific requirements on distributional structures, to be able to supply endusers in a short time and to offer comprehensive service locally.
