ApplicationDynaMesh−LFX is an alloplastic ligament replacement made from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with an integrated self-tapping fixation screw of titanium. For the anchoring in the tendon-stump DynaMesh−LFX is equipped with a traumatic needle which is cut off after fixation. The reconstruction of rotator cuff with DynaMesh−LFX is only one of plenty feasible applications.The surface structure of the PVDF ligament affords an almost tension free anchoring in the tendon-stump. The sufficiently high friction between interlaced ligament and tendon supersede additional sutures. Thus short operating times are ensured. The integrated fixation screw is adhesively connected with the PVDF ligament. The linear connection between ligament and fixation screw ensures optimal transmission of force (no eye - no redirection!). By the superb biocompatibility of PVDF the braid of 288 monofilaments assures excellent tissue and bone integration of the ligament at minimal foreign body reaction. | Latest News | |
